Complaining
I really hate how short our winter break is. It's only two weeks, when colleges are a month or a little longer. We get the bad end of the stick. We go to school for more hours, we get shorter breaks, and we are in school for a longer period of time. There are almost no benefits of high school.

Extra Credit
MOST AMAZING BEANBAG
Mr. Mackey is giving kids extra credit if we link his son-in-law's beanbag website to any of our pages. He always makes us to wacky and unnecessary extra credit all the time. He knows though, that kids will do anything for the extra points.

1) Who is responsible for Katie Mackey's death?
- Multible people are responsible for Katie's death. One of them being Henry Dees. He was in the car with Katie when Ray picked her up. The first sign that Mr. Dees should have saw was the fact that Ray was taking pills. Making Ray incapable of making rational decisions. Another clue that Mr. Dees should have noticed was the fact that Ray passed the library with both of them in the car, indicating he wasn't really planning on stopping there. When he got out he could have taken Katie with him. The other person is Raymond Wright. He did the actually killing of Katie Mackey. Greed always got the best of him, in most aspects of his life. Especially when it came to money. They both could have prevented her death, instead they both contributed to it.
2) How did Lee Martin's style of writing influence your reading of the novel?
- While reading the novel he made you feel what they were feeling. In each perspective of the characters story, you would see how they contributed to the disaster. You would see what each character saw in the other characters. For instance, when Mr. Dees went into JCPenny to look for a vest. Gilley saw him more as a lonely, innocent, shy man. In the eyes of Clare he was a pervert. Then when you read Mr. Dee's stories you will find out that he just loved Katie as one of his own. Lee Martin also made you slowly think how everyone's story was slowly connected, how each person got involved.

Nonsense
Today and tomorrow we have shortened periods. It's going from 48 minute periods to a little over a half hour on the main campus and from an hour and a half to a little over an hour. You would think that teachers would just have a normal class day, but give the shortened version. NOT AT ALL. I have three test in two days. Not any two days, the two days that have shortened periods.

It's all over
This weekend, I have been so busy. On Friday, I had my signing with Sierra. Around 60- 70 people attended, which was one of the largest signings they have had. After, some close friends and family from both sides met up at BW3's. On Saturday, Eric and I did some electrical stuff for my dad then we headed to Lynd's Fruit farm just to find out it's closed. We then just traveled around and came onto a small town where we just explored. That night, I went on a double date with Briana and Kevin. Sunday, was our golf banquet. It was the saddest and most memorable banquet I have ever had. When you're a senior, you realize that you are at the end and that the four years you spent in high school went by so fast.

The 11-11-11 Signing
At 3:00 today I will be signing my letter of intent for Indiana Tech University at GLHS. I'm not that excited because I don't like the spot light on me. My mom invited everyone that I have ever known, which builds to my nervousness. You might say it's just a signing, yes it is, but it's more than that. I'm signing the next four years of my life away without even finishing the last year of high school.

Voting Poll
Yesterday, I worked the voting polls from 5:30a.m- 9:15 p.m. I thought it would be the longest day of my life, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be until closing happened. At my location we had over 1,400 voters. After saying the same phrase over and over 500 times, it got tiring. At closing, none of the printers were working to print the results at any precinct. After working 14 hours, we didn't even get to know the results. Couldn't have gotten much worse.
